Specifically, the objectives of MASEC 2024 are as follows: :
- Conducting an intellectual workshop by scholars and local practitioners in the field of counselling, psychology, and medicine towards creating a harmonious family.
- Providing knowledge and understanding of family issues and challenges in building a harmonious family.
- Identifying latest challenges and issues on the family, parenting, the elderly, teenagers, and young children.
- Exposing society to the importance of promoting family resilience in managing conflicts and challenges.
- Imparting the latest skills in conducting family counselling sessions.
- Showcasing results of innovative products in family and community development.
History & Successes
MASEC 2021 was launched online two years ago during the MCO with participants comprising of counselling practitioners as well as students. Participating practitioners were from the National Population and Family Development Board (NPFDB), UKM Medical Centre, District Counselling Offices, and the National Anti-Drugs Agency. MASEC 2021 was inaugurated by YBhg. Encik Azlan Shah Nazrudin, the Director of the NPFDB, Negeri Sembilan.
